Giants

OR WINDMILLS

In El Quijote,

THE CERVANTES' MASTERPIECE AND THE SECOND MOST READ BOOK IN THE WORLD ACCORDING TO THE SPANISH MAGAZINE QUÉ LEER,

madness is portrayed as a powerful source of vitality, ingenuity, and inspiration. Similarly, the Spanish lessons taught by Duván Olaya extol madness as an essential driving force for learning Spanish.

In Duván Olaya's classes, students are encouraged to accept and embrace their own «madness» to learn Spanish.

This «madness» leads us, for example:

  • to label in Spanish every object at home,

  • to have Spanish conversations with ourselves in front of a mirror,

  • to create a false identity to practice Spanish,

  • to use dating apps to find native Spanish speakers or

  • even to get tattoos in Spanish.

IF YOU THINK YOU DON'T HAVE AN OUNCE OF MADNESS...,

let me tell you that we all have a bit of it.

This madness allows us to learn a language by destigmatising mistakes, enjoying ridiculous situations, and reducing the stress associated with using Spanish.

My objective is to get you to be yourself in Spanish, so that you have that spontaneous, impatient, insightful, and provocative personality that characterises you in your first language.

BE YOURSELF IN SPANISH AS WELL .
